All.
The automatic shutdown VBS script found in these forums works great if run within normal a windows (XP) setting. I then set up in Group Policy (gpedit.msc)> Computer Config. > Windows Settings > Scripts (startup/shutdown) > Shutdown a link to the same file. When I shut down my WinXP computer, a cmd window comes up, runs the automatic shutdown script in what appears to be a successful fashion, the connection closes, and the WinXP computer proceeds to shuts down. However, when I check the NASLite-2 CDD box, it is still up and running. The monitor shows no change. If I restart the WinXP box, the connection is still intact. I have extended the delays in the VBS script, and have even added extra delays at the final step to assure that the XP box doesn't stop the connection before the telnet session has ended (wildly guessing now).
Any thoughts.

Chris

Hello Fooshee:

I wrote the auto-shutdown script originally and over the past few days have been working on WOL (Wake-On-Lan) features. While doing that I am dealing with shutdown feature also. If you can be patient for a few more days ... I will make available the new script ... it might solve this issue.
