I've had a couple of problems with my Naslite USB ver 2.02 server the last few days. I was having trouble writing to Disk-1 on my server, then i did a reboot and i got a DISK BOOT ERROR, PLEASE INSERT SYSTEM DISK message.
I thought my Epia ME6000 board had failed, so put a spare Mini-ITX board in, which seemed to cure the problem.
I then configured another USB key with version 2.03 but when i tried to save the config from ther server to the new key i gor an error ERR-0B, this happens on the other key with ver 2.02 on as well. Rebooted again and now the startup screen shows Disk-1 as 'FAIL'. Does this mean the disk has had it? And has the faulty disk probably been the cause of my other problems?
I had quite a bit of stuff on the disk, but nothing i couldn't afford to lose, apart from some of my son's radio comedy shows which i'd like to recover if i can.
Any help appreciated.

Hi

DISK BOOT ERROR, PLEASE INSERT SYSTEM DISK refers to a invalid boot device. if you removed the usb pen then tried to boot your machine you would get a error much like the one u had. Areas to check would be reprogram the usb pen and try again. if you can run the disk check on the disk. you could aways download tools for your drive to run various tests on the HD should there be a problem with it.

Hi gaiden
I've taken the dodgy disk out and put another one i had in. The USB pens seem OK. I've got everything back up and running (despite 'her indoors' complaining about me sitting in the computer room for an hour or so) but i'm still getting the occasional error when doing a 'save configuration'.
I'll stick the faulty disk in another computer and see if i can get the data back.
I'm just looking at instructions on Disk mirroring now, i don't want to lose the stuff i have on another disk which is the same type as the one that failed.

Hi willsy,

I'd take a closer look at the usb pen, you see the config is saved to it and the fact you have save problems, is a problem.

If the HD is faulty? then there are tools that may help you recover files.
if the drive wont spin up you could remove the board from one HD to the other
