I have just setup naslite 2.03 on a Gigabite GA-8KNXP motherboard and everything vent fine except for the onboard ata raid (IT8212 chipset) I cant see any disks. I tryed all possibilities in the raid bios so I guess the chip set is not supported. This is what I see and Disk-6 is properly the raid

0 - Disk-0, IDE-0-0-0-0
1 - Disk-1, IDE-0-0-1-0
2 - Disk-2, IDE-0-1-0-0
3 - Disk-3, IDE-0-1-1-0
4 - Disk-4, IDE-2-0-0-0
5 - Disk-5, IDE-2-0-1-0
* - Disk-6, SCSI-3-0-0-0

G - General Storage Option Menu

R - Return To Main Option Menu

Am I right or not??? and will the chip set be supported in upcoming releases
My upgrade time is over but I am willing to buy it again if it will be supported

to the best of my knowledge, all onboard raids are software/driver raid not hardware. are you trying to setit up as raid or just using for extra single drives? and that disc 6 may be you config drive, it's always listed last.

Disk 6 is your config drive. I did not think the ITE8212 was compatible with Naslite. I have a PCI version, when I set up 2 drives as RAID 1 (it is hardware RAID) it did not see them at all.

Did you enable RW in the storage options for each drive?

I have a Kt7a Raid MB and can use the extra channels.

Far from correct - many of the older Dell servers ship with what Dell calls ROMB - Raid On Mother Board - which is usually but not always based on an Adaptec RAID implementation and is true hardware RAID
