Both of the above support 6 SATA drives and I think are NASLITE2 compatible. Both are available on eBay for an acceptable price.

I would like some recommendations on choosing one against the other. Please ignore any cost differences.

Well,

Aside from personal preference and adequate experience, I do believe the LSI hardware is better. Although some of the comments are questionable, here is a discussion that raises many valid points.
