Hi DGS,

Ok at present there are two Version of Naslite V2, one is the CD Rom version and the USB stick version. Each one is a *iso image that needs to be burnt to CD disk, then each one will be a bootable CD, the USB version will then be used to program the USB stick.

Hi gaiden,

Thanks for your mail.

I don't know if I understood it in the right way.

That means I have to buy the NAS 2.0 CD version ($29,95) to boot my NAS-System from CD.

AND
I have to buy the NAS 2.0 USB-Stick version ($29,95) to boot my NAS-System from USB-Stick.

For both Solutions I have to pay about $60.00, is that correct ?

Best Regards,

Dieter

You can use the upgrades page for a discount.

Yes, I know you are right.

but in the past the time between purchasing the NAS versions and providing of a new release was greater 6 month.

The only way of discount is to buy the server version to all NAS version combined, isn't it ?

Best Regards,

Dieter

The version that you own is good for 6 months of free upgrades as long as you don’t get crazy with the 6 downloads. During that time you can use your download link to purchase more licenses for the same or different products using the discounts page. That gives you 30% off or something like that.

If you have the CDD, the USB will cost you $20

I think it’s pretty simple or am I confused about what you are asking? :)

Just FYI, you are correct about the purchase of both in order to get the capability to boot from either.

I did however convert my USB copy to the CDROM bootable version using Nero and imaging my USB stick after programing it with their utility. You still need the USB stick to storw the configuration data though.
