I have a 2 drive system which works fine with NASLite+. I upgraded it to NASLite-2 CDD but I cannot get the system to boot. All I see on screen is the following:

Loading NASLite.01.......................................................
Loading NASLite.02.......................................................
Ready.
Uncompressing NASLite kernel…
Ok, booting the kernel.
ieee1394: sbp2: Driver forced to serialize I/O (serialize_io = 1)

And the it just sits there. I left it for about 24 hours and nada.
I have tried this multiple times. What might the problem be?

Thanks,
Pat

Fat,
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try that this evening. I think I have most everything turned off alrady though and I do not recall seeing anything in the bios concerning firewire (or ieee1394).

Well the system is an Intel Celeron D 3.2 Ghz, 256MB SDRAM, DVD/CD-RW Drive, Gbit Ethernet adapter and 2 hard drives (250GB & 750GB).

I went back in to the BIOS setup and found one thing I had not disabled USB ports. I disabled the USB ports and Voila! It now is booting up correctly. It cnnaot save the config for some reason though. it generates an eror when it tries to write to th efloppy. I tried two different diskettes.

The error is:

gzip: /etc/ServerElements/cfg/config.dat.gz: File exists
gunzip: short read
ERR-0A ( FAIL )

Perhaps I should replace the floppy drive.

Can you boot from the floppy using any boot disk?
