is it possible to partion a drive once it is mounted so i can create several smaller drives from it?

i have a 750gb disk and i want to split it up so that the users of my family can have individual access to it.

I don't think you can, but since there isn't any user security, it really doesn't matter anyways. I'd just create separate folders for each of them and leave it at that. If you wanted to make things really easy for them, you could relocate their My Documents folder to the NAS and then it would be totally transparent to them... they'd not even know they were storing stuff on another box.
