Hi. I am new to Naslite. I bought Naslite-2 USB yesterday and I am having problems. I am using a Sandisk Cruser Micro 1 GB USB flash drive and I chose the option for Naslite to use it as a bootable hard drive partition. I am also using a kicker floppy because I could not get my BIOS to boot from the USB drive. I am able to boot up fine but when I get to the Console Login screen it shows that detecting configuration device fails. I am not able to save any configuration changes. What device does Naslite-2 USB use to save configuration changes? Is it the USB drive? I have a cdrom, floppy, and two SATA drives in my pc.

If it's the USB distro then it will try and save to the USB drive, you have no choice on this.

What do I need to do to allow Naslite access to write to the USB drive? I am getting an error whenever I try to save my configuration. The error is : ERR-OC (fail) gzip : /etc/ServerElements/cfg/config.dat.gz : file exists.

Try booting it on another machine and configuring it there and saving. Do not configure the hard drives! Just the network configuration and the key. then move it to the NAS box and see if it works. Also have you tried putting the drive into another USB port?
