Had to give up....Just couldn't get it to work with NASlite.

Seems to be a password issue with the FTP server....but I can't understand why. Seems like NL would accept any username/password.

Tips appreciated. If I can get this working...anything here can be backed up. Ghost/Drive image still have those funky USB/Firewire/network issues as a consequence of DOS.

All I want is a simple "offline" image backup with no surprises.

Sorry, that didn't work.

I believe this CD boots freeBSD, and it looks for an FTP account specifically named "install".

Have no problems connecting to NASlite with Windows netdrive or even a browser. Have a lot of problems try to open a non existent "install" account from FreeBSD.

For me it works with the following command-line:

"uploaddisk anonymous@192.168.1.100 Disk-1/Backup/filename.gz"

The path of the target file is case sensitiv.

The question about the password you answer with "password".
