I know this is not really the place to ask as it really a Kernel thing but since i dont know anyone in Kernel land...

does anyone know when the 3ware 95xx SATA RAID cards will be supported.

I really need container expansion support and based on my reading this is the only card that can do this reliably.

Thanks for any insights.

Hmm after some googling i cant work out any timescaled.

However these is this link

http://www.3ware.com/kb/article.aspx?id=12690

on how to compile the 3ware drivers into the 2.4x kernel

Sorry to be so noisy about this but i will be annoyed if i buy a 85xx just to find out that NASLite will support 95xx in a few weeks time. :)

Any chance of a simple update Tony/Ralph.(even if its no plans)

The instructions provided on the 3-ware site are for a driver module. NASLite-2 uses a monolithic kernel, so a module will be incompatible.

If the driver makes it into the main kernel tree as inline code, we'll most definitely include it as part of NASLite-2. That of coarse is something the kernel developers will have to decide.

Tony thanks for taking the time to post.

This confirms my thoughts.

Thanks again
