I noticed that 2 CDD (and USB) versions mention "Limited ACPI" support and noted mostly for graceful shutdown by power button.

Are standby modes like S3 supported?

I'd like my NAS to go into standby mode when not used and wake when it's needed.

Will NASLite 2.x have a problem with going into and out of a standby mode such as S3?

I think that would be super too. To do like a wake-on-LAN if you like it to be set up like that. I have mine on all the time. But I know some times it can go with out use up to about 3 days. But some times every day too. Or 5 or more times a day. So it be nice if you could tell it how long when you don't use it to go in a off type mode or sleep mode. A wake-on-LAN I think a BIOS would have to support that.

Ditto here. I find the power mangement of virtually all server products to verge on the shameful. This is a huge and growing issue within the industry and it is amazing so few designs support low power operation.

I'd like to see an ability to wake and shut down NASlite remotely, along with the ability to selectively spin down disks which are not then in use. This feature would necessarily include IDE, SATA, Firewire & USB drives.
