A quick glance at the card specs makes me think that it may not work with NASLite. It is a fairly new card based on a SATA2 chipset. Also it is a RAID0/1 card, 99.9% of which have the RAID function implemented in the drivers rather than hardware. You may need to find an older card to get it to work in NASLite. Also be sure to set the BIOS to none for all the Hard drives in the box. Set all the drives to cable select and just plug them in. You may have to set the BIOS to auto for the channel the CDROMis on but nothing for the HDs.

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked the jumpers and the SATA drives donw't have jumpers for slave/master. I set the CD to cable select. No change. :(

I noticed other posts in the hardware section about promise "software" raid cards such as the TX2300 I have, as not being supported by the current NASlite v2 linux kernel (v2.4). Promise does have a 2.4 module you can download and integrate if you are that technically inclined (which I am not!). Someone on this site also pointed out that v2.6 linux kernel will have support for the TX2300 card (among other promise raid cards).

I am hoping to hear back from Tony re: current options to support this card and where NASlite is going with software RAID controllers like the TX2300. :?:

My guess is that they will not support the software RAID function ever from any card. They may roll in the drivers for cards like yours in future updates though if it is a card that is popular and in fairly active use.
