hello,
I ran into a strange problem with RTL8169S giabit networks cards. I upgraded two naslite+ machines to naslite usb 2.01. I also replaced the 100 mbit cards with gigabit networks cards, rtl8169s chipset. everything went smothly and also the first test copying a few files went OK. Then I started a large copy job and after the first few files the copy jobs is freezing. windows is comlaining that the network connection is lost the naslite box is not responding to ping.. you log into the naslite console normaly but you cannot ping anyone on your net from there.. Only things which helps is a reboot from the naslite box.
I have this issue on two different boxea with different MB etc.
The strange thing is when I plug this gigabit card into a slow 100 MB switch this problem does not appear.
Also when I downgrade the box back to naliste usb 1 also this problem doesn`t appear.
It looks to me that there is a problem with the rtl8169s driver in the naslite usb 2.01 version?

regards

I had the exact symptoms when I turned on Jumbo frames on a linksys card. I don't know if it is the same problem but you may want to check.

I guess I found the cause of the problem. I added also USB 2.0 pci cards during the upgrade of my naslite servers. I removed them and for now the gigabit cards are working OK. I am now running a large copy job up to now without problems (~2 hours).
