Hello,
I am trying to boot NL2 from a Kingston Data Traveller II USB Stick on an older motherboard (PIII, with Phoenix BIOS v. 4.06).
Booting from the CD found the Stick (set in a PCI USB Card, since the ) just fine and I formatted it as Super-Floppy.

But I can't boot into NASLite, with or without the supplied Kicker Floppy.
The Caldera DOS/ ASPI Manager scans all USB ports, but finds nothing and reports at the end: "ERROR: Target USB device not found."

It seems like I played with every conceivable BIOS settings, then reverted to the default settings, but I am not getting any further after hours of trial and error and researching this forum.

Does anybody have any hints that might solve this dilemma? :( The same PC has been working fine on the old style NAS floppy system thus far.
TIA, Thorsten

Hello Eden,
Thanks VERY much for mailing me the alternate kicker disks: SUCCESS!!!

I tried to boot from all three, but only the one named “Iomega” did work in my environment.

I did not even have to use the PCI USB Card I had bought yesterday – I was able to use the onboard USB.

Thanks again! :P
Greetings,
Thorsten
