When all is said and done I will have 2 v2.01 servers (I need the workgroup name fixed) and 1 v1.5 server. To that end I want to take 2 journaled v2 .ext3 disks and install them in the v1.5 server. Is that possible, or was journalling a 1-way trip? Will they have to be off-loaded and re-formatted? Thanks.

You can use the ext3 disks in NASLite v1 without a problem. The only thing that would happen is the journal will not be updated and on boot a syslog message will be generated of that effect. Data will be treated no differently than When ready to move back to 2, the journal will be refreshed as necessary.
