Running Naslite v2 USB on a Dell Dimension 2400

Flash drive made fine.
Booted from flash drive.
License worked.
Formatted hdd's.
Pings ok (from/to NASbox).
Telnet ok.
smb,http,nfs,ftp don't work.

Tried several different network conf...
gateway/ no gateway, different ips, different names
used router, switch, and crossover.

Also tried a different NIC still had same problem.

Any suggestions?

I wouldnt worry getting the unlock as yet. is this a new server i.e. never been used with naslite before?

As you should be able to http, are you using a old link in your browser to http to the server if so dont, just use the ip. make sure the ip is not being used, you are on tha same subnet, workgroup is the same. remember to save config and reboot so the changes take effect.

Could the problem lay with the windows pc and not the server? reboot the router if you have one..

This is a new server on a network that has yet to have naslite on it.

I have been trying the ip to get to the http interface, and it is free on the network.

I've rebooted everything a few time (router, nas, and computer)

This is an all mac network :D so their is no workgroup to match, but i have tried changing it.

I also tried a windows computer on the same workgroup and had the same problem.

I tested via crossover (same problem) w/ windows and mac. So im pretty sure its not the router.

This is strange, the server seems to be running fine. and the network is kinda working being that you can ping back and forth. the problem might not even be the server, chances are is that its running ok. but for some reason? you cant http to it from the other computers.

just had a thought see if you can run the usb in the other pc you have there dont mess with the storage stuff. just put the usb in boot and see if u can http to it.

Make sure the netmask is correct and verify that there are no specific access restrictions on the client. Also, make sure the NASLite IP is unique and outside of the local DHCP server range.
