I've lost my email (due to a email server disk failure) and hence unable to download 1.5 or see how much discount I get on a upgrade to 2.0...

I only bought NASLite a few months back (2 or so), so I would like to know how I can get a copy of the email I did get sent to me? I PM'd Tony 24 hours back, but I have had no reply via PM or email, I provided my email address.

Thanks

I have not received a PM with link requests. There was a single such request in email, but purchase link for NASLite+ v1.x is dated 12/26/2005 and therefore expired.

Thanks, one more thing, I have 44 days left on my discounts and upgrades...

If I buy the v2. USB will that update be reset?

When do you plan to release the Suite edition? ie the CD and HD versions? Will it be within this 44 day timeline ?

As I'd rather by the suite than just the USB edition.

Each new purchase is good for 180 days, upgrade or not. As far as a suite, we have not discussed a NASLite-2 Suite as of yet. My hunch is that we'll probably not release one, but that may change in the future.

Tony

your response to the future availablity of a NAS-2 suite is surprising!

One the release of NAS-2 you listed a Nas-2 user manual in which it clearly stated on page 4 that Nas-2 is available in 3 versions - CDD, HDD & USB.
The HDD version looked particularly attractive but now seems it won't be made available.
What has caused this change in strategy :?:

NASLite-2 will in fact be available in 3 different types (USB, CDD and HDD) as individual products. There is no change in the plan as far as that goes. The manual is absolutely correct in sighting all three. Currently, our plans are to sell each version individually as a separate product.

A suite would normally contain more than a single product, essentially packaging multiple operating systems in a single download. The reason we are not planning to release a v2 suite is because the v1 suite did fairly poorly in comparison to the individual products.

Again, this is not set in stone. We simply haven’t discussed a v2 suite as of this time.

Tony:

I have simple solution for that issue... just run a 50% off sale like the one you did back in May... I am pretty sure most of all will jump on it ... :D

Personaly I would have prefered to have the suite. It gives me the most flexability when I have been picking my hardware. My nas box changes periodicaly as better hardware comes my way. It would be nice to have the HDD ond CDrom boot version as options.

yeabn I own the 1.5 suite and the 2.0 usb thingy, I wished there was a 2.0 suite, cos then I could depending on hardware, either use the HDD version or the CD version, depending on my old hardware.

I am definitely voting for the Suite! Like the other guy said, my h/w is frequently reconfigured and I like to have the flexibility with NASLite+ that I am not constrained.

PLEEEAASE provide a Suite 2+

I'll hold off from purchasing USB2+ and wait for the Suite. (I missed out on the discount by 4 days!!! Drats)
