Please help a noob...having read the forums for the past few weeks I decided to take the plunge and purchase NASLite-2 CDD. I have created my CD and am able to boot to NASLite. I have entered my license registration and made changes to my configuration settings and changed the administration password. When I select option 9 to save configuration, I insert the floppy and press enter I get the following message: Saving NASLite-2 CDD Configuration Settings....gzip: /etc/ServerElements/cfg/config.dat.gz: File exists
ERR-0B(FAIL).

I have no idea what this means, and I cannot save my configuration. I have tried 2 different floppy drives and several diskettes, but every time, I get the same message. Please help!

What type of floppy drive do you have? Only conventional floppy drives will work so USB, etc. will not.

If you have a conventional drive, then make sure the drive is in good working order...

It's a conventional drive. I have tried 2 different drives - both confirmed to work - and 2 different cables and still get the message. Any ideas what else I can try?

Can you boot the machine using those drives? If the drives and cables are confirmed working, then the only reason for such error is damaged floppy interface or BIOS misconfiguration.

Make sure the drive is set as "A" in the BIOS and that you can boot the machine from a floppy.

Hope that helps.

Also make sure the write protect tab on the floppy is not on

It seems like the interface may be damaged. Thanks for your help.

Well I started having the same problem. Except ERR-0A code on mine. Was working fine with older naslite... guess stuff happpens.

more info...

Naslite starting not letting me delete files as well. Also several of my drives were missing in the server storage page.. only 1 was showing up...

went ahead and rebooted.. read my floppy and now all drives are present and I can r/w data to them... resave config and it worked fine.

Had the drives missing several weeks ago, thought nothing of it really but now this is the second time..
