I tested my v2 version today and noticed that my HP / Compaq Smart Array RAID-Controller didn't was mentionened in the syslog.

Do I get it right that this RAID-Controller isn't supported by NASlite v2?

Thies RAID-Controller is even supported natively by Windows NT/2000/XP/Server 2003. There are a lot of HP/Compaq servers using this RAID-Controller!
Wouldn't it be possible to add support for this RAID-Controller?

The HP/Compaq SA5xxx PCI cards are in fact Hardware RAID, but there are no 2.4 Linux kernel drivers available for this controller.

I think a bit of investigation is in order. ;-)

I've got several SmartArray-Controllers from different stages of Compaq HW and I've got a Compaq Storage equipped with 7 drives in hotswap cages.

Hi,

Was there any success with the smartarray controller drivers. Its been a while since this post, perhaps there is a driver out now? maybe?
