Hi All,

The manual is really unclear on page 15 on the part about mirroring. So can I just check I've got this right before I sync all my data to nothing?!

I have a Naslite box, and a Icy Box NAS901.

Naslite is 192.168.0.50, with one share called Disk-0

NAS901 is 192.168.0.10 with one share called Data

so my Mirror setting is /192.168.0.10/Data/01 which will copy the data FROM the NAS901 to my Naslite share. Is that correct? Or does it copy the stuff from the Naslite box to the NAS901?

Depending how I read the manual, it could be either!!! I'd really appreciate clarification, as it's late and my brain went to bed before me :?

Very many thanks,

graham

Naslite mirrors are not set on a source drive so you don't overwrite the wrong destination. The mirror is set on the destination drive. That is where the data will end up, so worst case you mirror the wrong data. Your nas901 must support rsync for that to work. You must also make sure the rsync module you are trying to mirror is the right one. Check the rsync docs for info.
