I just added an IDE drive to my NASLite server. The new drive pushed the raid array from Disk 1 to Disk 2. The folders on the raid array array are still showing but the files within the folders are not visible. Any new files copied to the array are OK just the old files are missing.

Any ideas?

Tom

That's puzzling since each is a separate volume and of no influence to the other. Do the files appear as missing through multiples protocols and what happens if you remove the new drive?

Thanks for the reply. It now looks like I have some other problems since I first lost the raid array and now cannot get the system to start. I have to move it around to get to a monitor to see what is happening. Can I use my current license on a replacement system of do I need another license?

No you don't need another license. Do what you need to do to get your NAS back in order.

Could you be having PSU issues as your problems seemed to start when you added another HDD, therefore drawing more power?

It could be power supply problems. I am in the process of changing over to a newer old system (Asus P4P800 motherboard). This one recognized the 3ware raid card and is now busy checking the raid array during the first start. I did get an Unlock FAIL before it started checking the drives. Any idea how long to check a 480 gig raid array (4 x 160 gig drives raid 5)?

Thanks for the suggestions and help. I am up and running on a new box after a few trying hours. The new box had a bad drive that was messing things up, the keyboard that I was using was bad and I had to check and repair the raid array before I could get it to mount. It looks like it is running good with a few more drives than the old box.
