Guess I'm like everyone. When you tell me you have a product which only needs 6MB to run - I'm gonna buy the least expensive good memory I can find and call it a day. Unfortunately, that may not be be best course.
Somehow managed to trash a new large drive which was almost completely filled with video files (99% - I know, you are not supposed to cram them like this). Repeated attempts to salvage with the menu e2fsck tools failed - providing lots of "killed" errors.
Then took the gamble of adding a second 128MB memory stick (based upon gleanings from this forum).
It recovered the files completely.
So it would be wonderful Tony and Ralph, if you could develop a chart quantifying the *true* memory requirements vs. installed disk volume

Otherwise, cheapskates like me will paint ourselves into corners.
Can't you see those multi terabyte disks coming?
