I should also mention that the only thing I get in my Network for NasLite is one item labeled Naslite-2. Clicking on it gives me an error that the alias is invalid.

So I would think that the Bonjour service does not seem to be working either.

Mine was an existing configuration. After creating the new CD with 2.06, I powered down the server, replaced the old CD (2.05) with the new CD, leaving my existing configuration diskette in place. The server booted successfully, and then I went into the server configuration (Telnet) to activate AFP. I have verified that all other services appear to be working correctly. I have turned on and off AFP, saved configuration, and rebooted the server several times, but still no luck.

The screens posted by jalessi pretty much spell it out. The problem appears to be isolated to the CDD and not the USB. If someone is experiencing the same behavior with USB, please speak up.

I'll post my findings tomorrow...

Well, surely as davel noted AFP is in fact DOA in the CDD version. Due to a missing ";" in the final build script the AFP daemon was left out. An inexcusable oversight I am not proud of.

Anyway, fixed 2.06 CDD dated (August 28 2007) is available for download.

My sincere apologies to everyone affected.

Tony.

Talk about cross posting :-)

Thanks Tony, that's great.

I just downloaded the shiny new 2.06 and AFP is working for me. I can connect to the server using afp://(server ip).
