Thanks for the response Ralph.
I have NL configured as DLNA. The default profile for uShare is not DLNA so I presume that its default is equivalent to NL GENERIC. I can play all flac format audio files streamed from uShare whether it is configured as "generic" or DLNA. That suggests to me that there is a difference between uShare and NL in the way in which they stream flac audio media. Selecting GENERIC or DLNA makes no difference in NL.
Is NL based on version 1.1a of uShare, or an earlier version. I see from the release notes (
http://ushare.geexbox.org/#Latest_News) the comment "Much more complete DLNA support through external libdlna". Does NL implement everything that's in the libdlna support library? It's version 0.2.3-0 that's installed on my linux laptop to support uShare. I also notice (
http://ushare.geexbox.org/#Usage) that while uShare has an XBOX profile, it does not have a profile corresponding to NL's PS3 and that the DLNA profile appears to be provided to support PlayStation3.
Could you please clarify how much NL's DLNA streaming deviates from uShare since it's clear that NL does not stream flac files as well as uShare?
Finally, it would be good if NL could implement the web interface into the DLNA streamer (i.e.
http://ip_address:port/web/ushare.html) which works in uShare. I realise that this has been discussed some time ago in another thread, but I thought that I would ask too.
Many thanks.
