I disabled all the servers bar telnet, then re-enabled them all, then rebooted the device.

So far it appears it's stuck at the Starting Servers ( TELNET HTTP RSYNC FTP CIF NFS DAAP.......... [ BUSY ]

I'll give it 10 minutes or so and then I'll reboot.

That did it. I now have full access to all the drives on the NASLite through windows!

Well, back to work for me. I have lots to catch up on now.

hmmmm NIC seems to drop out after awhile;

From the Syslog;

Aug 5 14:44:50 [8] Disabling IRQ #16

I'll keep looking into this to try and find out what is happening.... for the time being I have copied off all the critical data on to a local drive.

Make sure that you disable all the devices on the MB that you are not using. This frees up IRQs. I would see if you can move the NIC to another IRQ in the BIOS.

Hi Mike,

Thanks, I have disable Serial and Parallel ports on the mobo, but while I still get a IRQ on #16, it doesn't seem to cause the NIC to drop out at this stage. I'll keep monitoring it though for any changes.

Mark.

I have detachable drive bays so I swapped drives around to put them back into numerical order.

Why would particular drives be asterisked out? Especially when they come up as ( Clean ) ....... [ DONE ] during Checking storage filesystem?

I ended up removing the asterisked driver. Booting into ubuntu and formatting it before reinserting and booting to NASlite.

I get 3 IRQ's now - but they don't seem to have affected the system yet. Fingers crossed.
