I know there are a few issues with Lion OSX and backing up using Time Machine over an AFP Protocol but my iMac worked with my NasLite-M2 straight out the box and would backup to the allocated HDD (only worked the first time). I tired it the day after and I'm getting an error message of "the backup volume doesn't support AFP-functions".

Could I get some guidance please?

Will there be a future update to Naslite-M2's AFP protocol version to 3.3?

Was fixed in the latest release.

NASLite-M2 v1.67 32/64Bit is now available for download.

Changes include:

- Update AFP to provide v3.3 support
- Update auto-configuration code to provide better TimeMachine support
- Update internet time synchronization client to provide RFC-1305 (NTP) support
- Perform optimizations to reduce memory footprint
- Perform optimizations to reduce root filesystem size
- Perform general code cleanup
