I have searched multiple variations of this but don't seem to find anything are I'm just blind as a Bat which is possible too!

My NASLite-M2 V1.66 is now setup on a USB Stick with all system configurations in place and server working great.

Is there a simple way to make a exact image copy of what is on this USB Stick for backup purposes in case the primary
Stick got fried? I have two identical Sticks so that consideration is not a concern. As you readers already know, Linux preps the Stick before installing the NASLite server image on the stick so if you put it into a Windows machine (in my case Win7) there is nothing there to see?

Thanks for reading,

Kerry

not sure if this would work - maybe?

write the naslite software to 2 sticks - ok you have done that with one - so prep the other one and add the naslite software to it - boot the computer with the existing [original] stick - it will load the software into memory and load the config

remove that stick - insert the new one and go into the admin menu - save the config

shut down the computer and boot from the stick you have just written to

if my theory is correct it will boot with all your settings

if not - then nothing is lost and someone else may know how to do it :D
