Im using a PC with no CD drive. I am upgrading from Naslite 1 to MS. The old PC has USB but does not boot from them. I therefore need what I have read as a "kicker" floppy. But nowhere can i find a download link or know how to do this. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

thanks,

the docs say

Quote:
A self-extracting “Kicker” floppy disk image is located in the /UTILITY folder of the distribution CD-ROM.

Yep I read that aswell, which is why I am perplexed as to where I can get it because there is no such folder on the cd image I have downloaded!

not all usb's are equal - maybe thats it - it seems to me you are making life hard but i dont know what you can add to the PC to make it easy

a few suggestions

a different usb stick
a cd drive
a small harddrive on the ide line to boot from - i use a cf to ide adaptor and boot from a cf card - but any ide drive would do
add the software to a boot partition on one of your harddrives - easy to say but a bit harded than the others as you would have to back up any data before doing it as the process would wipe the drive
