Right now I have NASLite-M2 v1.62 02-2010 running on an old desktop that isn't very power efficient. I am looking to move the setup to an Atom server.

Two questions:

1) Do I have to repurchase the entire product to move it to new hardware?

2) Can I "crossgrade" my 32 bit license to a 64 bit license?

Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.

Thank you =)

1 - no

2 - no idea - a pm to tony or ralph will confirm either way

you can move it all on the 32bit software - if you have to repurchase then do that and just re-install the software - should not affect the data

No but you will have to revalidate it no biggy there

no you can't but you can purchase a 64 bit licence at reduced cost, There is a link to that somewhere but you will need your original download link.

Hope this helps in some little way and if I have got anything wrong then I am sure that either Tony or Ralph will chip in.

So at worst, I'll have to re-validate my link and possibly pay a crossgrade fee for 64 bit

I think I can manage that!

I'm hoping the move solves my upnp streaming issues... This current box only has 1gb of ram and the upnp service eats 66% of it leaving me with 3mb free (OUCH)

My new atom board has 4gb so heres hoping for a smoother ride!

I'll wait for Tony or Ralph to weigh in before I push on =)

Thanks to all for the input

No you wont have to re-validate your link (unless you want to upgrade to v1.64 that is)

if you follow this link http://www.serverelements.com/?target=Product_Discounts and fill in your details you will get the second licence costs etc.
