Did you unlock NASLite? You will not be able to share the disk until you do that. You will only be able to access the files via HTTP, IE: your web browser, until you do.

Also make sure that you have the IP and workgroup settings properly configured.

You might also include a bit of info about the system that you are trying to map the NL drive on to.

It is possible via NFS. Is the remote machine running NASLite? If not, what is it running and what is your goal?
