So I just ordered
Jetway NC92-330-LF Dual Core Atom Mini-ITX Mainboard
-Daughterboards : 4x SATA Add-On Module with RAID Support (ADPE4S)
-Memory : DDR2 667 RAM 2GB

From what I can gather the Daughterboard is a Marvel 88SE6121....I purchased this because the mobo has only 2 onboard SATA ports and wanted to put this in a four drive bay server box and configure raid 5.

I am picking up bits and pieces throughout the forum but my question is.....will NL see this raid card and the configuration of Raid 5 I set in the Bios or will it simply see four separate drives. The conversations I had been seeing were based around an older version of NL and a different Marvell card.

Any ideas? or am I totally screwed

The card you added is nothing more than a SATA to PCIe chip. Any RAID functionality comes from drivers and not hardware in the chip set. Your confusion may come from them mentioning that it is SATA port expander aware. This just means that it will see multiple drives on a single SATA port interface, just like SAS.

The short answer is that you are screwed until NL supports software RAID.
