Or is this just a typo? For example, I am in PST so this is +8 form GMT - therefore, if I follow the instructions, I need to shift everything when SE is concerned - mirror settings, logs, etc. Seems to be a pain.

Any reasoning behind this?

NASLite does not support locales so the only way to properly integrate with the client time zone offset is to use GMT.
