bios may allow that - check in there first - if not there are other ways - a bit more difficult if you can only boot from C

that would mean altering drive jumper

or thinking as i type how about having naslite on a cf card - if you want to boot from XP remove the cf card - set cf card to master and xp hard drive to cable select - when the cf was removed the xp drive should then become master

Just use a boot loader like LILO or the like.

Some motherboards offer a boot menu (F12 or F8 on my motherboards) which allows you to select which drive to boot from.

You are giving me a head ache.

First, why? NL is a server appliance. It is not intended to be a dual boot system with windows.

Second, if you wish to select the boot image from a telnet session then you will have to write a script for both OS's that you can run from the present OS. It will have to modify the MBR and then perform a graceful shutdown of the present running OS. In short, it will not happen like you want from telnet.

Get another machine for one or the other OS and go that route.
