Has anyone tried to virtualize NasLite M2? I made an image of the disk and uploaded it to a VMWare esxi datastore and am running it as if it is just running from the disk. The config settings are stored on a virtual floppy disk.

The problem that I am having is getting the network card to work. I cannot ping the address. address is set to 192.168.1.253\24. Thought that maybe all I needed was a reboot but I cannot seem to get it to work. Is there a way to test the network card from within Naslite?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

There's a "Tools and Utilities" menu where you can do an outgoing ping (Option 7) and (Option 9) "Show Network Config".

Yeah, sorry about that. I found that after I made the previous post. When I use it it just tells me the destination is unreachable, even if you try to ping localhost (127.0.0.1). I'm assuming the issue is with the vmware created NIC. I tried adding a second nic as well to no improvement.
