Downloaded Naslite-M2 and burnt cd using nero and the files in the ISOLINUX folder, but it will not boot.

I burnt the cd on a windows machine using nero.

Any advise is greatly appreciated, thanks

Did you burn the ISO to the disk or did you just burn the files to the disk? You need to select burn image, then select the image. Also make sure to make it disk at once and to be sure and close the session.

Also make sure that the CDROM is set as the first boot device in the machine you wish to load it on.

The file you downloaded from server elements via the DL link is an ISO image of the bootable CDROM. You DL the file to your computer, open Nero Burning ROM, Select Recorder tab, select burn image, then select the ISO you down loaded. Make sure to check close disk.

RTFM!

After you burn the CDROM properly you will have the option upon boot to burn a bootable USB, HDD or CDROM. In the case of a CDROM it will require a USB key to store the config.

That is to complicated to detail here. Just go buy a usb dvd burner for $30.00 bucks or throw a cdrom in the machine temporarily for the install.

Take any ANY computer (that has a CD ROM reader and a USB)

Put the USB key (that will boot NL), boot the computer from the CD that you have burned (may need to modify the BIOS so that the computer boots from the CD)

Follow the NL CD options / instructions and install to the USB key.

Turn off the computer. Put the new NL booting USB key to the computer that will run NL. Boot the computer from the USB key (may need some BIOS twitching for the computer to boot from the USB key).

Follow the instructions (will need a keyboard and a screen attached to the NL computer)

VoilĂ , I just saved you $30 ;) :)

Regards
