Am running 1.02 of NASLite-M2. I have a Samsung STORE 1.5tb drive connected through a USB 2.0 card on an Athlon driven mainboard . The USB card is made by NEC. NASLite-M2 sees the drive and interacts with it through the local console, however, while the c:\ drive of the NASLite-M2 box is visible to the network and to the browser-based M2 console, the USB drive isn't. The NIC is a vanilla SMC card.

Although it may not be relevant, while installing M2 I did have a CMOS battery failure on that mainboard and had to replace the battery and reset the BIOS settings. Maybe a related issue?

I would be very grateful for any suggestions that could be offered.

Thanks very much,

Bill Cole

Make sure the drive is set to export as [RW] or [RO] and not is not parked [--] as set in the storage settings.

Thanks very much for the pointer! I guess I was put off the scent by reading storage option 1 "Export Drive-n " too literally. After I set the drive to RW, saved the change and rebooted, all was well. Now on to filling the drive. :-)
