After my Installation I rebootet about 3 times then the filesystem was checked.
On a 300 GB harddisk this is taking a while.
My questins is: how often does the naslite check the filesystem, or are the iuses when the filesystem is checked.

regards zappa

PS: perhaps my English is not so good - coul you write in german

about every 25 times normally i think - however if you have had a bad shutdown it will do a disk check the next boot - thats with 'normal' naslite - other factors may come in on m2 - one of the people who use it may give a better answer

@tony a
thanks for the hint

@all
i fixed the problem.

I was migrating vom Naslite CD to Naslite-M2.
Erverthing was fine but ervery startup the filesystem was checked.

I had seeen in the logfile that the journal of ext3 filesystem was missing.

So I let the NAS create a journal and on the second reboot of the NAS, there was no more filechecking.

regards zappa

If you later find you do still want to modify the maximum mount count, this can be via tune2fs -c You would have to first boot your NAS off some rescuecd (e.g. systemrescuecd.org) to be able to run this command.
