 Post subject: Cant delete from a drive

I copied drive-1 to a folder on drive-2 a while back while working on the system to make sure I did not loose this data. I am now trying to delete the folder form drive-2 which contains the backup of drive-1 (probably 100GB or so). I keep getting an error saying: "_vti_cnf" is in use, and it will not delete. Any ideas?

try deleting through ftp.

I also had a similar situation and used a kubuntu live cd to boot and access the drive to delete the in use file. Didn't even think about ftp. Derrrr!

Did you try rebbooting the NAS and the distant computer ?

Thanks for the help. I decided to mirror Drive-1 and this wiped everything on Disk-2 including the folder I was trying to delete.
