fair point on the unattended shutdown - guess it depends where the box is situated as to whether you would know if all went well if its headless

mine is out of the way and have on many occasions inadvertently left it on - i got round that to some degree by moving the power light from the box and having it on a panel in the office - also extended the speaker lead - that way i can hear the beeps when it kicks in - its on an old p3 that sometimes does not find the cf card - and see if its on by the state of the light
