Hi, I have a couple of questions about NASLite M2. I found some info and vague references on the forums but not definitive answers so I thought I'd explicitly ask here:

1) Can NASLite M2 stream content directly to an AppleTV? (ie mimic a Mac/PC with iTunes)
2) Can AppleTV stream audio AND video content from a Mac/PC with iTunes that is connected to a NASLite M2 server?
3) Can NASLite M2 boot from a CF card via a CF/IDE adapter?

Cheers

No. Nothing other than iTunes can as far as i know. Unless you hack the appletv that is.

Yes. Mount the naslite share and let itunes index the files. It can then stream them to your appletv.

I use a cheap $4.95 USD PATA to CF adapter I got off of Ebay. Works great.

Thanks for the response. I have read on these forums that Transcend CF cards are the most reliable. Is that true or will a Sandisk do just as well?

I'm just using a cheap old Sandisk card I got in a surplus PC104 computer, 64MB I think.

If the thing builds and boots then you are golden. The card is read only and boot and not after that. The only read that happens is if you save a change to the config file.
