How come no matter how much RAM I put in my NanoNAS server, NanoNAS gobbles it all up?

I was using 256MB, and NanoNAS was using 99% of it.
So I thought I should add more, so put another 256 in there, to make 512MB. Now NanoNAS is using 504MB(99%) of that - this seems rather excessive for an OS running in a 4MB RAMdisk...

Why is NanoNAS gobbling up RAM like this, for something as mediocre as file serving on a network?

Not even my old Windoze XP server used 99% of memory...

Naslite and nanonas both use available ram as buffer space for performance. Using almost all the ram is normal. On the other hand, nanonas can run on less than 16m of ram and that is pretty cool.

OK then.
Do you think it needs that 512, or can I put it back to 256?

256 should be enough.
