I had a dream last night that not only did the upcoming CD version of NASLite solve all the issues brought up in this forum, but ServerElements actually discovered a way to add a fifth hard drive to a machine, so I could use a CD drive and still keep my four hard drives. No lie... I dreamed this last night. I think I've been hanging around this forum a liiittle too much!

I think that that dream could become a reality, if the CD version supports add-in IDE or SATA cards. I have an add-in IDE card that will take 4 additional drives.

Oh! I almost forgot SCSI! 15 drives a card? But who wants to pay that price for the drives.

But, I do have a SCSI card and two SCSI drives I can nab... for free, and legitimately... and add those to my system! That would be pretty cool. Without another IDE card, I'd have the CD drive, three IDE drives and two SCSI drives. That is, if I become brave anough to try to configure SCSI.
