If you can support not all feature request on a single FD.

Why do you not create a online image builder.
for example.

1) Select CPU Type
a) 486
b) 586
c) 686

2) Select Networkcard
a) 100 mbit
b) 1 Gbit

3) Select Networkcard
a) intel
b) etc.

4) Select additiol PCI/ISA IDE/Raid Adapter
a) mylex chip
b) highpoint


5) Select System
a) SMB
b) FTP
c) etc.

Let’s not forget the intended NASLite audience. The purpose of NASlite is to make things as simple as possible. Doing what you are suggesting will not only complicate things, but also confuse. How many casual users really know what chipset their MB or NIC uses?

Can you imagine the size of this forum if we do what you are suggesting
