First hello to everyone,

i just setup my Nas with the Naslite Floppy file and i have a few questions :

1- a transferred file bigger as 5 gb is cut to fit 4 gb, some error or just a limitation of the free edition ?

2- is it possible to shut down the server without openeing a telnet-session?

3- can i put more then one network in the server?

thanks Jay

Ps. Sorry for some errors but english is not my primary language

The free version is limited to 4GB or smaller file sizes. The + version doesn't have this limit.

You can shut down using an attached monitor and keyboard or you can shut down using a telnet session.

The server only supports one network. You can put multiple servers on the same network though.

Thanks for the quick response, smeyer.

Ok, limitation only on the free edition

The server stay not in the same room as my main pc and i need a simple shutdown possibilty for the kids, i read something about a tool called TST10

only one network-card supported, ok then i need to find another way to split to different network to acces the server

Jay:

Take a look at the script I wrote at http://www.serverelements.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=810

Unfortunately you still have to push the power-button to turn the NASLite system off all the way.
