I could test this out and see, but then I risk losing the data I already have stored.
If I have a box running with NASLite-FTP - can I reboot it using a NASLite-SMB disk and use the box as a Samba server with all the data intact, or will it need to re-configure the drive.
My need is to run the FTP share, but I only need to do that occasionally, so I thought that if I could run the box as SMB the rest of the time it would be great.
I understand the floppy only holds one at a time. I'm fine with rebooting the machine to switch roles, I just want to know if the data is interchangeable between them. (ie. upload something to the FTP server - reboot as SMB and access it via share)
As I said, I could just try it ... but I don't want to risk messing up the disk that already has data.
Thanks.
