Please excuse a few questions from a guy who has been involved with small computers for many years, but just discovered NASLITE.

Does the amount of memory in a NASLITE file server afffect performance? In other words, if additional memory is available, does NASLITE make use of it for buffers or caches or anything useful, or does it just sit empty and unused?

It will use all the memory not used by the kernel for buffers.

The NASLite+ manual has a paragraph that says for bigger disks (250GB) more memory may be required to help performance. You can download the NASLite+ manual and see what it suggests.
