After failing to get Knoppix 3.8 to recognise the floppy drive on three diffrerent computers, I downloaded v 4.0.2 which worked perfectly and enabled me to create the NASLite floppy as described in previous posts.
I bought a network card for my elderly Pentium 90, popped in the floppy and booted. Installation went flawlessly and I now have my NASLite box acting as an mp3 server for my wireless media player! Brilliant!
And if anyone is interested, the Acoustic Energy WiFi radio and media player (see
http://www.acoustic-energy.co.uk) works perfectly with the NASLite box, seeing it as simply another shared folder on the network.
What a great piece of kit!
