I've read somewhere on this forum about problems with insufficent RAM because of large sizes of shared disk space. Have anone any idea how big space could be shared on, 16MB RAM, 24, 32, 64, etc?

It should be in manual I thing, or some warning in setup menu wouldl be good too.

The amount of space that’s shared has little to do with the amount of RAM. The file system itself and it’s contents is what makes the difference. If you have a 60G hard drive with thousands of small files, it will likely require more RAM than a 200G hard drive with hundreds of large files.

We don’t have statistical data on how much RAM supports how much space since there are many variables to consider.

I use a P150/64M with 2 160G drives as my personal NASLite-SMB, and have had no anomalies to raise any concern, so I’d assume 64M is a safe bet for larger drives.
