it must be that I don't know something, but can anyone please explain, which version should I use (which version do I want to use?)

I have a small network of WinXP computers (same workgroup, not domain). What would be the best one to use? SMB, NSF or FTP?

Thanks
Bob

Bob....

I have a similar setup. I have a combination of Win2K and XP machines. I use NAS Lite SMB. I run it on an old NEC PII with 64MB of RAM and have two drives installed (60GB and 40GB). Just old stuff cobbled together.

I use it to share/access files between machines. Makes life easier than having to constantly syncing machines.

Setup was a snap. It actually took longer to install the drives in the machine than to conigure NASLite.

Good Luck

Tim

If you are using windows, and don't know wich version to use, you should use the SMB version (or SMBG if your box has a Gigabit network card)
