I've had Naslite working for quite a while with no dramas on an old 486 machine. I'm about to replace my current main computer (Pentium P4) with a more modern machine.

Question: I've read that Naslite is pretty indendent of machine type. Would it therefore be a waste of time to replace my old 486 Naslite machine with the about-to-be-retired Pentium P4 machine or would it be worth the effort? I have to admit that the old 486 machine isn't the fastest thing around!

Many thanks

It would indeed be worth the little effort involved. I would also advise that while you are at it you stick in a Gigabit NIC and get a cheap 8 port Gigabit switch. The performance is more than worth the little extra cost and effort.

Hi Mike - thanks vm for the prompt reply. I'll give it a go as soon as my new machine is delivered and I can retire the old one.
